Remembering Brother Jimmy Marsh
On Saturday, March 11, 2023, our beloved brother and friend, Jimmy Max Marsh, went home to be with His Lord. Jimmy was born in High Point, North Carolina, to Junior Marsh and the late Virgie King. After graduating from high school, Jimmy enlisted in the United States Navy as a Corpsman and served in the United States Marine Corps 2nd Recon Battalion including several deployments to the Middle East during his thirteen-year career. He was the owner of Jimmy Marsh Flooring, Inc, contracting and in business for more than twenty years. In addition, he was an avid outdoorsman enjoying fishing and hunting. He loved to teach his sons all about hunting, fishing, flooring, along with other trades and hobbies. Jimmy loved his Lord. He loved his wife and sons, and he loved his church. He was generous and sensitive to the needs of anyone he came in contact with, because he loved serving others. He was faithful in service to his church. He taught Sunday school, sang in the choir and was faithful to usher, greeting all who came with his infectious smile, kind words, and often humorous stories. Jimmy’s generosity was known by many. He was a hard worker and will be missed by his family, friends, customers and all who knew him.
Brother Jimmy was preceded in death by his sons, Joshua and Cody Marsh, and Mother Virgie. He is survived by his wife Sharon Marsh, sons, Jonathan Marsh, Isaac Marsh, and Lucas Marsh along with his siblings Patty Johnson, Rhonda Basso, Deanna Whitaker, Cleve Marsh and their families. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, March 17, 2023, at Centerpoint Baptist Church, located at 1650 Blanding Boulevard in Middleburg, Florida, with Pastor Lee Fulenwider officiating. There will be a reception and luncheon following the service. |
